International exhibitions lead to photovoltaic demands
An increased number of solar projects are proceeding these days rapidly across the entire GCC region. The Middle East’s PV projects, especially in the UAE have reached a new scale, not least at the solar PV plant in Sweihan/Abu Dhabi. The 872 million USD project is set to be the world’s largest single location solar farm with a capacity of 1,177 MW and is expected to reach its commercial operation in April 2019. These projects in the pipeline create considerable opportunities for developers, EPC contractors, equipment suppliers, and financiers interested in the entire region.
