In October 2025, GTV Global successfully hosted another CPD-certified Lunch & Learn seminar in Dubai, focusing on two core elements of modern interior and architectural fit-out: laminates & boards and high-performance doors. The session brought together architects, designers, consultants, and specifiers from across the UAE for an engaging, hands-on learning experience tailored to local project demands.
The CPD session opened with a deep dive into laminates and boards, addressing the importance of selecting the right materials for joinery, partitions, wall cladding, and fit-out packages across residential, commercial, and hospitality developments. From melamine-faced MDF and chipboards to fire-rated HPL panels and decorative veneer boards, our technical team shared best practices for balancing aesthetics, performance, and regulatory compliance. Special attention was given to moisture resistance, fire classification (e.g., EN B-s2,d0), and sustainable sourcing — key requirements for interior finishes in the UAE’s demanding climate.
The session also covered our door systems portfolio, with a focus on acoustic, fire-rated, and project-specific solutions. With rising demand for performance doors in high-rise, hospitality, and public-sector buildings, the presentation highlighted how to specify doors that meet stringent fire safety, sound insulation, and accessibility standards. Live discussions covered door core options, frame detailing, finish compatibility, and integration with control systems. Case studies from past projects illustrated how early-stage specification can reduce design risks and avoid costly retrofit issues.
Delivered in an informal setting over lunch, the session encouraged active participation and Q&A. Attendees explored physical samples of door cores, laminate finishes, and board cross-sections, gaining a tactile understanding of performance features and design options.
