Choosing a color: Color forms an integral part of its environment and is inseparably related to it. This is why it is important to view the color in the lighting conditions in which it will actually be used. Color is always relative to something – lighting and other colored surfaces, for example. Variation between light and shade affects color perception all the time, just like the roughness or smoothness of the surface being viewed.
Building material emission classification M1: Building materials for indoor use, such as paint, can be classified according to their emission levels. The top M1 class is reserved for materials that emit extremely low levels of compounds into the atmosphere. Class M2 Materials emit moderate amounts of compounds, while M3 classified materials have either not been tested or fail to meet strict emission levels. Materials are tested for organic compounds, formaldehyde, ammonia, and carcinogenic substances.
